Gulf of Maine Books was founded in 1979 by owners Beth Leonard and Gary Lawless. An independent bookstore with a general range of books as well as specific interests in local and regional titles, nature and the environment, poetry, world literature, and good books for young readers. They also carry cards. postcards, bumperstickers and calendars.
