Celebrate Juneteenth in Downtown Biddeford, Maine, with a vibrant community gathering honoring Black history, culture, and freedom. Hosted by Heart of Biddeford and local partners, this annual event features live music, spoken word, dance performances, storytelling, food vendors, and educational activities for all ages.
Held in Shevenell Park and downtown spaces, the celebration creates an inclusive atmosphere where community members can reflect, learn, and uplift the voices and contributions of Black Americans—past and present.
Whether you're attending the performances, engaging in cultural activities, or supporting local vendors and artists, Biddeford's Juneteenth Celebration offers a powerful, family-friendly experience rooted in unity and justice.
This event is organized by the City of Biddeford's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, the Maine Black Chamber of Commerce, and the Heart of Biddeford.
Event will include music by DJ B.Aull, delicious eats from Soul Food Paradise, and powerful storytelling from local historian Bob Greene. The event is free and open to those who identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color (BIPOC), their families, and community allies.
Discounted parking will be available at the Pearl Street garage. Go to the Premium parking app and use promo code JUNETEENTH for 50% off parking.
