Maine’s First Ship (downtown Bath, ME) is a historically significant reconstruction project that was leveraged into practical shipbuilding and ship operation programs for the education of students of all ages. Maine’s First Ship is building a 51-foot reconstruction of the pinnace Virginia (1607); the first English ship built in North America!

Visitor Center Exhibit Hours:
Spring: Memorial Day weekend to July 4 weekend  Friday-Sunday 11am-3pm

Summer: July 4 to Labor Day weekend  Tuesday-Saturday 10am-3pm, Sunday 11am-3pm

Fall: Labor Day to Columbus Day  Friday-Sunday 11am-3pm

Shipwrights work year round Wednesday and Saturday 9am-3pm
