Paws Downtown (formerly Bark in the Park) returns to downtown Saco, Maine in 2026 as a fun-filled celebration of the special bond between people and their four-legged companions. Organized by Saco Main Street, this popular annual event invites dog lovers, families, and community members to gather for an afternoon of tail-wagging excitement and pet-friendly activities. Scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026 (rain date September 13) in downtown Saco, Paws Downtown is a tail-wagging celebration of our furry friends (and the humans who love them). This day of four-legged fun features pet-friendly businesses and vendors, a doggy parade and costume contest, trick demonstrations, & more!
Designed for dogs of all sizes and the humans who love them, Bark in the Park features a lively mix of activities, including a doggy parade, costume contests, trick and agility demonstrations, and interactive experiences for pets and their owners. Visitors can also explore a pet-friendly vendor marketplace featuring local businesses, animal organizations, and specialty vendors offering treats, toys, and pet services.
