Welcome to Peace House Studio! Peace House Studio is a vibrant new addition to downtown Bath, Maine, nestled at 9 Centre Street in the heart of the city’s historic commercial district. Born from a passion for sustainable fashion and thoughtful design, Peace House Studio brings to life a creative, community-focused retail experience rooted in eco-friendly craftsmanship and family values.
Founded in 2020 by a local husband-and-wife team in response to the challenges of finding high-quality children’s clothing that was both durable and ethically made, Peace House Studio has grown from a small online brand to a full-service workshop and storefront. Operating for years out of a room above a garage, the business has expanded into a 2,300-square-foot brick-and-mortar space, quadrupling its footprint and offering customers an immersive look at where their clothing is designed and made.
At its core, Peace House Studio champions sustainability and play-ready apparel crafted from super-soft organic cotton, milled and dyed with environmental consciousness, then printed and sewn in Maine. Pieces are thoughtfully designed with vibrant colors, playful prints, and comfortable fits, perfect for everyday wear for babies, toddlers, bigger kids, and adults.
A standout feature of the brand is the Patches Project, a circular-economy initiative that invites customers to return worn or outgrown pieces for store credit. Returned garments are patched, repaired, and given new life, reflecting the studio’s mission to reduce waste and keep clothing “on people, not in landfills.”
More than a store, Peace House Studio is a community hub where creativity, mindful consumption, and local craftsmanship converge — inviting families to shop, explore, and participate in a more sustainable future of fashion.
