The Skowhegan Opera House is located in the Skowhegan Municipal Building and was designed by John Calvin Stevens, a prolific and innovative architect who designed more than 1,000 buildings in Maine. The building is in the Beaux-Arts style and was built in 1907–1909.
Located on the second floor of the building, the Opera House seats 850 people and is available to rent for concerts, plays, dance recitals, talents shows, etc.
