Description
The Strand Cinema originally opened in downtown Skowhegan, Maine on November 18, 1929 with one theater seating 1000 people. By 2004, full restoration of the main theater was made with new stadium seating that presently seats 425 people. In 2005, two theaters were added each seating 175 people. Currently, all theaters have an accompanying balcony. The Strand Cinema is claimed to be haunted and is listed in the top 50 most haunted places in America. Come down and find out for yourself!
This restored historic venue houses 3 theaters showing first-run movies, plus a lobby & concessions!
