    Description

    The Parlor in Bath, Maine: An Intimate Oyster Experience Like No Other

    A fresh addition to downtown Bath, Maine's food scene is making waves—quietly, thoughtfully, and with just four seats. The Parlor, a new concept from Lady Oyster Tours & Tastings, offers a highly curated oyster tasting experience that blends Maine’s coastal heritage with a refined, personal approach to dining.

    A Tiny Oyster Bar with a Big Vision
    Opened on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, The Parlor introduces a new way to experience Maine oysters. With seating for only four guests at a time, this micro–oyster bar focuses on quality, storytelling, and connection. Each visit feels more like a private tasting than a typical night out.

    Guests are guided through a rotating selection of Maine oysters, learning about where they’re grown, how they’re harvested, and what makes each one unique. Flavor profiles, water conditions, and seasonal variations all become part of the conversation—turning a simple tasting into something memorable.

    Rooted in Innovation and Recognition
    The Parlor builds on the success of Lady Oyster Tours & Tastings, a business that has quickly earned attention across Maine’s tourism industry. With locations in Phippsburg and now Bath, the company was honored with a Rising Star Award at the 2026 Maine Tourism Conference—recognizing its rapid growth and creative approach to connecting people with Maine’s aquaculture economy.

    That same spirit of innovation is at the heart of The Parlor. It’s not just about serving oysters—it’s about creating an experience that brings guests closer to the source.

    A Space Designed for Connection
    True to its name, The Parlor is designed as a place to gather, talk, and share. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a focus on conversation and discovery. The small size encourages interaction between guests and hosts, and among the guests themselves.

    Menus change regularly, offering new tasting themes and oyster varieties throughout the season. Expect thoughtful pairings, house-made accompaniments, and expert guidance throughout the experience.

    What to Expect
    At The Parlor, every detail is intentional. Offerings include:

    - Rotating oyster flights sourced from Maine farms;
    - Wine selections chosen to complement each tasting;
    - Hands-on shucking instruction;
    - Retail oysters and specialty items to take home.

    The experience is designed to be both approachable and educational.

    Reservations are highly encouraged for tastings. (4 people max per hour, 45-minute tasting intervals)

    A New Culinary Gem in Downtown Bath!
    In a state known for its oysters, The Parlor stands apart by offering a focused, intimate experience that goes beyond the plate. It’s a place to slow down, learn something new, and savor the subtle differences that make Maine oysters so special.

    For visitors exploring MidCoast Maine—or locals looking for something truly unique—The Parlor is well worth a stop.
