Welcome to Westbrook Common – A Vibrant Gathering Place in the Heart of Downtown Westbrook, Maine. Nestled in the heart of downtown Westbrook, Westbrook Common is a beautifully reimagined public space that serves as a vibrant hub for community connection, creativity, and everyday enjoyment. Once a traditional plaza built in the 1970s, the area has been thoughtfully redesigned into a modern, welcoming space that reflects Westbrook’s ongoing revitalization and the city’s deep commitment to placemaking.

Westbrook Common offers a dynamic mix of seating, green space, and artistic elements that invite people of all ages to relax, socialize, and gather. The design includes movable furniture, shade structures, an interactive water feature, and integrated public art that celebrates Westbrook’s history and culture. With its central location just off Main Street and near the Presumpscot River, it’s a perfect place for residents, visitors, and local workers to take a break, meet up with friends, or enjoy a meal from one of the nearby restaurants or cafés.

The Common is also a focal point for community events and cultural programming. From live music and outdoor yoga to art installations and family-friendly activities, Westbrook Common is quickly becoming one of the city’s most activated public spaces.

Music Series at Westbrook Common (SUMMER 2025)
Ten Saturdays, from June 14 to September 6, 2025 Maine-based musicians will perform at Westbrook Common as part of the 207 Music Series. Stop by, listen, and discover some of your favorite local musicians. Bring a chair and a picnic, or grab a bite and beverage at Westbrook On Tap.
