Maine’s Main Street communities invite you to celebrate Pride Month in June. Below, we showcase the vibrant array of celebrations held in our downtowns, each unique in expressing support for LGBTQ+ rights and inclusivity.
Augusta, ME:
Pride Crosswalk Painting: Volunteers from the Augusta Teen Center and the Augusta Public Works Department will paint a Pride crosswalk on Oak Street to kick off the month.
Central Maine Pride Festival: This event will occur on June 2, 2024, from 11 AM to 4 PM at Mill Park. It will feature local vendors, food trucks, music, and family-friendly activities.
Bath, ME:
Bath Pride: Bath, Maine, will celebrate its second annual Pride Festival on June 14, 2024. This event will take place at Waterfront Park downtown and will run from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The festival will feature games, food trucks, drag performances, and booths for local LGBTQ+ organizations and artists, making it a family-friendly celebration to show support for the LGBTQ+ community in the region. Biddeford, ME:
Biddeford Pride: This event, scheduled for June 1-2, 2024, will feature various community events and activities around downtown Biddeford.
Bike BS Pride Ride: Join Bike BS as they take to the streets of Biddeford and Saco to celebrate Pride month. Meet at Biddeford’s Shevenell Park, 149 Main St, at 7 p.m.; the ride starts at 7:30 p.m. Get creative with lighting up your bike and enjoy a slow-rolling nighttime bike party ride!
Broadway GALA (City Theater on June 7 at 7:30) The Maine Gay Men’s Chorus presents “Broadway GALA”. Join us for an evening of the best of Broadway, including songs from Jekyll & Hyde, South Pacific, Spamalot, The Fantasticks, Wicked, Oklahoma, The Greatest Showman, Anyone Can Whistle, South Pacific, and more. Plus, the fabulousness that you can only get with that Maine Gay Men’s Chorus flair! Don’t miss it!

Belfast, ME:
Belfast Pride: Set for June 8, 2024, including a parade and celebrations along Main Street and Steamboat Landing Park.
Parade marchers will gather at Belfast Area High School at 10:30 a.m. to build your excitement before setting off at 11:00 a.m. The parade will travel down Waldo Avenue to Main Street and end at Heritage Park. You do not need to sign up to participate; just show up with a positive attitude.
The parade will end at Heritage Park and be greeted with a DJ, dancing, food, and refreshments.
The Pride Parade has been organized by Belfast Area High School’s Gender and Sexuality Alliance Group.

Brunswick, ME:
Brunswick Pride: Taking place on June 29, 2024, with events held at the Brunswick Town Mall.
Pride Ride—Registration starts at 9 a.m. on the town mall, with kickoff at 10 a.m. Cyclists of all ages and abilities are welcome. We will also have a mechanic on site from 9-10 a.m. to check over bikes and helmets. Costumes and bike decorations are encouraged.
Celebrate the spirit of Pride with us at our after-party Pride Crawl! Kick off the party at @maizcolombianstreetfood and @theabbeymaine, starting from 5 – 7 PM. Enjoy their special event cocktail or beer. $1 will go towards supporting @brunswickme_pride!
Keep the crawl rolling at Moderation! From 7 to 10 PM, $1 of every pint will go towards Brunswick Pride. @ophelia_drag will be on hand to host the night! Pop into the taproom to see it like never before!

Gardiner Pride: Planned for June 10, 2024, with activities in the downtown area and Waterfront Park.
Saco, ME:
