Make it A La Mode! Classic Downtown Dining Cars

Make it A La Mode!

Around Maine there are a number of classic chrome dining cars (including one of only two remaining Pollards in the US) where you can relax and enjoy some American comfort food, right in the heart of downtown. Walk in and sit in a booth or perch yourself on a stool at the counter, and get ready to experience the feeling of an earlier time when food was straightforward AND delicious, and the classic coffee pot with the brown plastic handle (or orange for decaf) is at the ready to replenish your endless cup.

Grab some corned beef hash or a tuna melt, and don’t forget the blueberry pie!
